Also, according to Korean law, juveniles under the age of 14 are not punished, and the maximum sentence for juveniles under the age of 19 is only 20 years. Even if you kill or commit arson, the maximum sentence is 20 years, and if you are under the age of 14, you will not go to jail. Accordingly, the media are presenting various works to inform the crisis situation. The way to solve this problem is to change the Criminal Law. First, increase the upper limit of sentences that can be imposed or remove the upper limit entirely. Second, lower the age of criminal responsibility. Revising the law in this way will dispel the criminal impulses that younger people may have and make young people aware of their fear of the law.
